Symbol:

The Water Globe - The Water Globe has been a favorite of mine since I was a little girl. Water represents a basic need as well as reminding us of the purity of life.
The sound of water in a light rain give me a calm feeling which allows me to be aware of the gift of God's presence in all things.
Inside the water globe may be found various emblems, however, my preference is "The Holy Family" a symbol of my belief in God and strong religious Faith. The globe encompasses these expressions in a very serene way.

Emblems:

Gift Basket-We all enjoy receiving gifts and what’s inside is a mystery such as Gods Love. Give a gift of Love to someone in need today

Candle-Reminds us that in the simplicity of one light we may find Christ.  Christ is always with us and our prayer for you is that you will remember this.
Dove-Allows us to see the gentleness and pureness of love for our Sisters and Brothers and allows us to radiate a feeling of peace throughout our Membership. Make Peace with a Sister or a Brother where there have been hard feelings

Faberge’ Egg-We are all an intricate design such as the Faberge’ Egg.  May we continue to evolve through the hope of newness of all things. Be kind and gentle to all you meet.

Angel-Protects us and reminds us to watch our step as we travel along the pathway to our Journey toward God

Flag-An emblem to honor my son and daughter-in-law, our Worthy Grand Patron and all Veterans for the sacrifices they have made and continue to make.  We hope you will treat our United States flag with respect and give veterans an extra smile or conversation or even a thank you.

Fun Emblems:

WGM - Smiley Face-to great each member with a smile and to receive one from each member.

WGP - Rooster-Crowing for the Stars.  The rooster helps us to keep the pride  needed to maintain  our membership

Watchwords:

Peace-Let us make Peace where  frustrations and distress arise. Do you have Peace in your heart with your family and friends? What about your Sister or Brother sitting across the chapter room from you? Your Challenge is to (MAKE PEACE WITH YOURSELF AND WITH THEM)

Commitment-Mean what you say –Keep truth in your life. (Jesus was committed to God by sacrificing  his life to save us). Do you remember the commitment you gave when you received the obligation at the alter during your initiation?  Your Challenge is to (STUDY YOUR OBLIGATION TO YOUR EASTERN STAR  MEMBERSHIP AND THEN ALSO EVALUATE YOUR RELATIONSHIPS WITH YOUR SPOUSE YOUR WORKPLACE  AND OTHERS AROUND YOU.)

Service - Serve others before yourself. Each of us have been given the gift of serving others and must answer the call in our own ways.  Service to God, Service to our Families and Service to our Communities. Are we good Servants of God? Your Challenge is to (MAKE A NOTE TO YOURSELF AS TO WHERE YOU HAVE SERVED SOMEONE OTHER THAN YOURSELF  EACH WEEK)

Humility/Humbleness-Put pride aside , be happy for others when they excel and let them shine.  Do you kindly encourage other members to learn the work of our Order or do you keep what you know to yourself so that others must come to you before completing tasks?  Your Challenge is to (FIND SOMEONE YOU CAN PLACE ON A PEDESTAL DIFFERENT THAN YOURSELF AND SEE HOW YOU FEEL)

Prayer - Prayer before and after everything we do will be a good reminder to us that God is present always. Prayer allows us to not only be closer to God, but helps us with our relationships with others and how we may handle daily situations and challenges and confrontations. Do you remember the last time you talked with God?  Your Challenge is to (ADD  A SHORT PRAYER TO YOUR DAY)

GOD WATCH OVER ME TODAY AND GIVE ME THE STRENGTH TO BE YOUR SERVANT TO OTHERS,  HELP ME TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE HERE ON EARTH AND GUIDE ME TO BECOME A BETTER PERSON.

SCRIPTURES:
Scriptures of the Worthy Grand Matron:
Matthew 28:20 I am with you always, even unto the end of the age.
1 Peter 3:15-16  Sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts. Always be ready to give an explanation to anyone who asks you for a reason for your hope, but do it with gentleness and reverence, keeping your conscience clear, so that, when you are maligned, those who defame your good conduct in Christ may themselves be put to shame.
John 14:34-35 I give you a new commandment: love one another. As I have loved you, so you also should love one another. This is how all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.
Romans 5:1-2 Therefore, if we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access [by faith] to his grace in which we stand, and we boast in the hope of the glory of God.
Deuteronomy 15:10-11 When you give to him, give freely and not with ill will; for the Lord, your God, will bless you for this, in all your works and undertakings.  The needy will never be lacking in the land; that is why I command you to open your hand to your poor and needy kinsman in your country.

Scriptures of the Worthy Grand Patron:
Revelation 21-4 - And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be no more pain.  For the Former things have passed away.
Psalm 23  - “The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.  He maketh me to lie down in green pasture.  He leadeth me beside still waters.  He restoreth my soul.  He leads me in the Paths of righteousness for his name sake.”
Proverbs 3-86 - Trust in the Lord with all thine HEART, and lean not unto thine own Understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Worthy Grand Matron Special Scripture
Phillipians 2:1-11 (Plea for Unity and Humility)

If there is any encouragement in Christ, any solace in love, any participation
in the Spirit, any compassion and mercy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, with the same love, united in heart, thinking one thing.
Do nothing out of selfishness or out of vainglory; rather, humbly regard
others as more important than yourselves, each looking out not for his own interests, but everyone for those of others.
Having among yourselves the same attitude that is also yours in Christ Jesus,
who, though he was in the form of God, did not regard equality with God, something to be grasped.
Rather he emptied himself taking the form of a slave, coming in human likeness; and
found human in appearance,
He humbled himself, becoming obedient to death, even
death on a cross.
Because of this, God greatly exalted him and bestowed upon him the name that is
above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bend, of those in heaven

and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the Glory of God the Father.
